How does it work?
The process of acquiring a domain name is not a difficult one. At Emerald Names, we appreciate your business and will assist you during the entire process. Here is how it works:
- Browse or search our inventory of domain names for the one that you like.
- Domains with prices have a ‘Buy It Now’ option, domains without prices are open to offers. In either case, each domain has a Make Offer form for you to be able to send your best offer for a domain name.
- Payment is made via either Escrow, PayPal or EFT Bank Transfer.
- Upon receipt of payment, we will either push the domain to your account at the current Registrar on record, or unlock the domain and send you the authorization code to transfer the domain out to another Registrar of your choice.
What is a Registrar?
A registrar is a company that provides services for registering and managing domain names. Registrars include Godaddy, Dynadot, Xneelo, Afrihost, and many more.
How and When Do I Receive the Domain?
If you have an account at the same Registrar as the purchased domain name, you will receive the domain in your account directly after payment. You will recieve an email from the Registrar to confirm the transfer. Your domain will appear in your account the same day.
If you prefer to transfer to another Registrar of your choice, we will unlock the domain for transfer and send you the authorization code. Your domain should then appear in your account in 1 to 3 days.
